"Designed by a Doctor for a Doctor" TRACH-AIDE™ offers medical professionals and patients an effective, cost saving solution to minimize the discomfort and irritation caused by the inserted tracheostomy tube.

The patent-pending non-invasive TRACH-AIDE™ is made of multiple layers of soft, non-pill hypoallergenic polyester fleece that support and stabilize the movement of the tracheostomy tubes in ventilated patients. Compatible with most trach tie collars currently available, TRACH-AIDE™ is positioned under the external portion of the tracheostomy tube and held in place at the base of the patient's neck by "hook and loop" straps that attach to the collar portion that fits behind the neck. The soft, flexible fleece material allows the tracheostomy tube to become partially enveloped in the middle of the top edge of TRACH-AIDE™, making it compatible with tubes of varying diameters and from different manufacturers. This greatly minimizes side to side motion and essentially eliminates the downward angulations of the endotracheal portion of the tracheostomy tube.

TRACH-AIDE™ is designed to be used in hospitals and clinics as a disposable product. Patients using the device at home will launder and re-use it for 60-90 days, with a cost to the patient of less than $1.00 a day based on replacing two TRACH-AIDE™ devices every sixty days.

Patients who use this unique device report decreased coughing and irritation; ability to breathe, swallow and sleep with greater ease; and a significant increase in overall comfort.

With as many as 6.5 million people in the United States alone living with tracheostomies, and a significant increase expected in the upcoming years as 88.5 million baby boomers reach age 65 by 2050, TRACH-AIDE™ offers medical professionals and patients an effective and economical solution to minimize the discomfort and irritation caused by the inserted tracheostomy tube. TRACH-AIDE™ is manufactured in the USA exclusively by TARPAW, LLC, manufacturers of innovative medical devices.
